This place was our go to spot in JTown for the last few years, doing takeout a few times a month. But the sushi roll quality has consistently really gone south. Hawaiian roll, lemon slices have been cut too thick, rolls incomplete each time - falling apart or weren't even fully connected. Unfortunate because we really liked their rolls.

You may not love authentic Japanese food. You may prefer Americanized Japanese food or Korean-style or Chinese-style Japanese food. But if you're looking to eat in a style that is closer to what you'll get in Japan, this place may satisfy you. We sampled sushi, sashimi (cut thick), sukiyaki, bento. It was good and a relatively good value too. I can highly recommend Okayama in Japantown. I really like their R2D2 roll - but everything is very tasty!

Quality sushi and sashimi, plus nicely decorated place! Would not recommend hot donburi based on my visit, but your miles may vary.
